Nigerians Encouraged to Leverage President Tinubu’s Socio-Economic Recovery Program

The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation has urged Nigerians to take full advantage of the socio-economic initiatives launched by President Bola Tinubu. The call was made during a public town hall awareness campaign held in Ibadan, aimed at informing citizens about various federal programs designed to alleviate economic hardships.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris, represented by Principal Information Officer Stanley Ugoeze, emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities presented by initiatives such as the Student Loan Scheme, Consumer Credit Corporation, and Digital and Creative Enterprises Programme. Other notable programs include the Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA) and the National Youth Talent Export Programme (NATEP) to mention but few.

Idris acknowledged the current economic challenges but highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing recovery policies that aim to transform these pains into gains for the public. He noted that many citizens might be unaware of these initiatives or fail to recognize their relevance.

The event featured a Q&A session to help Nigerians understand how to benefit from these programs.

Oyo State Director of Information, Dr. Moses Oyelade, promised to relay public concerns to the federal government, emphasizing the need for patience as the administration works towards meaningful change.

Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Ademola Babalola, echoed these sentiments, urging citizens to trust in the government’s efforts. Representatives from various sectors, including civil society and religious leaders, also encouraged Nigerians to remain optimistic about the future under President Tinubu’s leadership.
