CCII extends commendation to Governor Seyi Makinde for the judicious appointment of Professor Olanike Adeyemo as the Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG). This recognition was expressed during a visit by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) Executive Council, led by President General Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole, to the SSG’s Office at the Secretariat in Ibadan.

During the meeting, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, who holds the prestigious titles of FAS and FTWAS, urged the CCII Executive Members to intensify their efforts towards the development of Ibadan land. Affirming her strong connection to Ibadan, she emphasized that many significant individuals in her life hail from the region.

Expressing gratitude for the courtesy visit, Professor Adeyemo conveyed her appreciation, stating, “I move in Ibadan circle, I thank you for honouring me with this courtesy visit, I am part of you, we are all flourishing in Ibadan, I love the development in Ibadan land.”

In response, President General Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the astute selection of Professor Olanike Adeyemo as the SSG. Describing her as a woman of virtue, Ajewole affirmed that the governor had fittingly chosen the right person for the role, emphasizing the placement of a round peg in a round hole.

The commendation from CCII signifies the recognition of Professor Adeyemo’s competence and suitability for the crucial position within the Oyo State Government. The acknowledgment underscores the importance of aligning key figures with their respective roles.
