NOA Oyo State Congratulates New Olubadan, Oba Ladoja

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Oyo State Directorate, has extended warm congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on his successful ascension as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a statement signed by the State Director of the Agency, Mrs. Ajolayo Sinmat Akande, the Directorate described the installation of Oba Ladoja as a landmark event that reinforces the rich cultural heritage and revered succession process of Ibadanland.

According to the statement, the Olubadan stool remains a distinguished symbol of tradition, peace, and unity, not just for Ibadan indigenes, but for the Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole. NOA emphasized that the seamless transition once again underscores the enviable succession system that has continued to distinguish Ibadan from many other traditional leadership structures in the country.

The Agency expressed confidence that the reign of Oba Ladoja would further deepen social cohesion, promote harmony, and enhance the preservation of Ibadan’s cherished cultural values. It added that the new Olubadan’s leadership would also contribute meaningfully to the sustainable development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

Highlighting the Agency’s mandate, NOA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Olubadan-in-Council, stakeholders, and the people of Ibadanland in fostering peace, patriotism, and unity. It noted that such collaboration aligns with the Agency’s core mission of promoting civic responsibility, national values, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

The statement further noted that Ibadan’s long-standing tradition of peaceful succession to the Olubadan throne has continued to attract admiration, both locally and internationally, making it a model for other traditional institutions across the country.

While praying for the new monarch, the NOA Oyo Directorate wished Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja divine wisdom, good health, and a prosperous reign that would bring growth, stability, and renewed pride to Ibadanland and beyond.
