In a collaborative endeavor to combat crime and bolster safety measures in Oyo State, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have renewed their partnership.
The release was made available to journalists by Isiaka Adeniyi, the head of media and publicity of NOA, said the two organisation highlighting the joint commitment to combatting crime and ensuring the safety of Oyo State residents.
The renewal of this partnership was formalized during a courtesy visit by the Commandant of NSCDC to the Director of NOA in Oyo State.
Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, the Director of NOA in Oyo State, warmly received the Commandant, stressing the significance of their collaboration in strengthening security measures within the State.
Recognizing the commendable efforts of NSCDC in crime prevention, Dr. Afolayan emphasized the importance of grassroots sensitization in effectively addressing criminal activities.
She reiterated the shared goal of both agencies in promoting a crime-free society and fostering peaceful coexistence among citizens.
In response, Padonu Augustine, the Oyo State Commandant of NSCDC, expressed the organization’s readiness to work closely with NOA, emphasizing the strong existing relationship between the two agencies.
Augustine highlighted the vital role of community-level engagement in intelligence gathering and early detection of criminal activities, ultimately ensuring the safety of Oyo State residents.
During the visit, symbolic gifts were exchanged, with NOA presenting the national flag to NSCDC, symbolizing their patriotic roles in nation-building.
The collaboration between NOA and NSCDC signifies a significant stride towards creating a safer and more secure environment for the people of Oyo State.
Through joint efforts and community engagement, they aim to uphold peace and effectively combat crime within the State.
