Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, along with his wife and the former First Ladies, Florence Ajimobi, Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, Mutiat Ladoja, and Sarat Adesina, will be attending Mayor Isaac Brown’s Miss Oyo 2023 Show on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
The event, which marks its 20th special edition, will be held at the Jogor Events Centre in Ibadan.
Over the past two decades, the beauty pageant has gained popularity, with winners receiving new vehicles and contestants being rewarded with various gifts, including landed documents. Mayor Isaac Brown, a well-known radio presenter, has transformed the event into a major celebrity show in Ibadan and other states.
Other notable individuals attending the show include Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as the Guest of Honour; Senator Monsurat Sunmonu as the mother of the day, and Bobajiro/Otunba Seye Famojuro, who will be receiving an award.
Engr Dotun Sanusi, a billionaire businessman and owner of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, has donated a Mercedes Benz SLK 320 as a car gift for the winners.
The Miss Oyo Beauty Pageant aims to provide young girls with the opportunity to make a positive impact on society.
Last year’s winner was Miss Adedairo Adebanke, a 25-year-old student of the College of Health Technology in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. Mayor Isaac Brown stated that the Miss Oyo Beauty Pageant promotes and showcases the rich culture, tourism, and lifestyle of the Oyo people to the international community.
Former First Ladies, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, Mrs. Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, and Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja, have expressed their support for the event and confirmed their attendance.
The event is proudly supported by Silverstone Communications, owned by Isaac Brown, and various radio and television stations in the state, including Fresh FM 105.9, Blast FM 98.3, and Tiwantiwa FM Ibadan, owned by Dr. Yinka Ayefele, a popular gospel musician.
