Stakeholders in Ibadanland, including Chiefs, Baales, Mogajis, and prominent figures, have criticized Mogaji Wale Ladoja for attempting to sow discord between the people of Ibadan and Governor Seyi Makinde.

They cautioned Mogaji Ladoja against fostering disunity, emphasizing that his efforts to create rifts between them and the governor would fail.

Highlighting Mogaji Ladoja’s past controversies, including his suspension as Mogaji over alleged involvement in land grabbing, they stressed that his actions could tarnish Ibadan’s traditional institution.

Mogaji Ladoja’s recent remarks, questioning the recognition of Governor Makinde’s contributions, were rebuked, with stakeholders reaffirming their unwavering support for the governor.

Rejecting Ladoja’s criticisms of the CCII and Oba Hamidu Ajibade, they emphasized their commitment to unity and development in Ibadanland.

The statement, issued by Ibadan Mogajis President, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, and Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative Coordinator, underscored the community’s strong endorsement of Governor Makinde.

Dismissing Ladoja’s divisive tactics, they revealed plans to confer a chieftaincy title on the governor, reaffirming their solidarity with him.

Stressing the need for Mogaji Ladoja to abandon divisive rhetoric, they urged him to uphold the dignity of his position and refrain from undermining Ibadan’s heritage.
