On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, we commemorate the 10th anniversary of Prince Femi Adelusi, the pioneering Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, and former Vice President, Zone B, affectionately known as “Omo Funrae.”

The event is arranged collaboratively by the deceased’s family and the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Ekiti State Council.
As part of the program, sixty widows will receive empowerment from the family in memory of the late Prince of Ado Ekiti, a distinguished journalist who passed away in 2013 after retiring from the Ekiti State Government service.

The family and NUJ leadership have issued a joint statement confirming that the event is scheduled for 10 am at the NUJ State Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti.

Distinguished guests expected include Alhaji Hassan Olufemi, CEO of Femson Soap, as Chairman; Lady Bobola Olawole as Chairperson; Prof. Tinuola Olufemi as Guest Speaker, and Ademiluyi Tope as Special Guest.

Additional special guests include Fakuade Oluwaseun, Prof. Adegun Patrick, Adeyemi Tunji from Sterling Bank, Chief Esan (brother to Dr. Adelusi), Mrs. Ayeni Dunni, and all NUJ members.

We encourage journalists and the public to attend the event.
