Dr. Olukemi Folayan, the Director of the National Orientation Agency in Oyo state, urged Nigerian youths to view education as the optimal path to fulfilling their dreams.

 

She conveyed this message during her appearance on the radio program “Ijoba Awarawa” this morning on Solution FM, Ibadan, hosted by Aderemi Adegboyega

In a candid interview, Dr. Afolayan addressed various issues related to reshaping our moral values and fostering a positive mindset as patriotic citizens for national progress.

Following the program, a statement from the Agency’s media unit in Ibadan emphasized Dr. Afolayan’s advice to youths, urging them not to undermine the significance of education.

Dr. Afolayan stressed that education is the key to liberating people from poverty, highlighting the transformative impact of combining talent with a solid educational foundation. She emphasized that good education is indispensable in all endeavors.

The state Director reiterated the Agency is reaching out to the people through different stakeholders on values reorientation and attitudinal change for national development. Dr Afolayan highlighted that the reduction in electoral violence, void votes, post election litigation etc in Oyo state are achievable due to various pre and post elections campaigns mounted by the Agency.

On the issue of mass exodus of people from the country that has become a fad, the State Director cautioned the citizens not to travel out through unlawful means. She tasked Nigerians to uplift the country and think of how they will make it a viable nation rather than leaving in droves.

The State Director signed up on the note of optimism that there are signs that the present administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will empower the Agency to enhance its deliverables.
