Barrister Michael Lana, a member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, extends congratulations to Chief Nureni Adebayo Akanbi on being turbaned and installed as the sixth Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland.

Lana, in a personally signed congratulatory message, expressed that Akanbi’s turbanning, as a member of the state Elders’ Council, is well-deserved.

It signifies recognition not only of his leadership in the Islamic faith but also across the entire state.

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the last election noted that this honor is a testament to Arole Iba Oluyole’s commitment to promoting peace, especially among the Islamic community in Ibadanland and everyone he interacts with, both within and outside the state.

He added that the new Baba Isale Musulumi is a man with a large heart who always throw his doors open for both the young and the old at all times, noting that he always want the best for all irrespective of religious or party affiliation.

According to him, “I want to sincerely congratulate and rejoice with our dear father, Alhaji (Chief) Nureni Adebayo Akanbi, on his turbanning and installation as the sixth Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland. This honour is well deserved as you are an epitome of peace and worthy role model for both the young and the old.

“The honour to me is nothing but a recognition of your numerous contributions to the development and expansion of Islamic religion within Ibadanland as well as love for humanity in general through words and deeds.

“It is my sincere prayer that Almighty Allah will endow you with wisdom and wherewithal to discharge your new role as the Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland.”
