The Rotary Club International (District 9125) is seeking collaboration with journalists as it plans to empower 600 youths in Ibadan and Abuja.

The program, called the ‘Rotary Youth Leadership Academy,’ will focus on vocational, leadership, and socialization training over the course of one week.

District Governor Sagab Ahmed stated that the program aims to train selected participants, both members and non-members of the club, in Ibadan before moving on to Abuja.

The program also aims to generate interest in Rotary activities and membership among non-members.

Ahmed emphasized the importance of media attention in highlighting the significance of youth development.

The program intends to develop socialization skills and foster respectful and organized interactions among participants.

In addition to classroom training, various activities such as physical training will be conducted.

The vocational skills to be taught include tailoring, soap and cream manufacturing, and shoe making.
